Today and yesterday and the day before are now getting to me. I don't get mad often, but now I am well and truly annoyed.
The other day:
1 Engine abrupt cutout on major road
2 Dash dials reset on their own during long motorway drive
Dealer testbook check, nothing
Today:
3 cruise control switched off on its own
4 would not switch on again
Go to dealer, testbook check, nothing
Leave car for 20 minutes and have coffee, restart fine.
5 cruise control cancelled itself again
6 Reset after about 3 miles and 4 or 5 gear changes and clicked in on its own at previously set speed, interesting
7 cruise cancelled again 10 minutes later
8 reversing up drive at home, reverse sensors on solid would not cancel, take out of gear, still sounding solidly. Apply parking brake still sounding solidly.
Switch off engine, cancelled.
Parked car now, using Jimny, safer. Flea in ear of LR CS, waiting result. Dealer brilliant again, but could not find anything in the NEW computer system, because there was nothing at all in it now. Change over wiped everything, is that design or accident I asked. No comment was reply.
Having had the cruise control stick on and not be able to cancel it, I recovered only for today to have this, I am now not amused any more, especially as it stopped me playing in the mud today.
I really know how you guys feel now and it is not at all funny.

You seem to be suffering significantly more than most Brian, looks like your D3 needs a new 'brain'

No, I don't think I suffering more, it is just a bad patch and I think it is all software related and all at the same time. The odd thing is that I recall others saying that at certain mileages the problems came up, but I cannot remember the miles.
The dealer is getting a D3 with towbar for me on Monday and the car goes in for as long as it takes. It just annoyed me because I was off playing in the mud today and never got there.

Sorry 2 hear your probs BN
Surprisingly electronic glitches still a prob with my 'S', with bright pack.
Since compressor replaced have had new rear disc castings, but more interestingly.
New PDC ecu, which has solved my similar PDC probs as yours sounds.
Radio went completely blank no time nothing, until a restart, then fine.
Heating wouldn't stop blowing cold air unless set above 26 deg, software cause.
Oh and park brake fault again (electronic) logged but no cause.
DEALER CURED IT. by total software uninstall back to 'transsport mode' as they descibed it, as it comes from factory. Then full install as they would PDI a new car. This was done on Wed, and we seem to be OK for now.
Frustration is something men should be used to its genetic.
NO its women

mmm done 21.4K miles now and sooo far (touching wood as I type)... no issues except the erroneous and persistent Low Coolant Level warnings.
BN... I hope you get this all fixed... and maybe the total back to zero from PDI trick will work for you.

Think you guys may be right. Had a call from LR CS (THIS MORNING ) It is the most probable solution.
Dealer going to do a full reset on Thursday.

BN is this the same vehicle you did the reset trick on and could that be the main cause of your problems
