D4 2012 vs 2010

Hi all,

First post and hoping for some advice. I currently have a 2011 (MY10) D4 commercial and generally very happy. Just been offered a 2013 (MY12) for a good price, better spec lower mileage, etc..
Any thoughts on the MY12 vs MY10 and if this change is worthwhile.

Many thanks.
Rob

Even though I have never warmed to the rotary knob the ZF8 gearbox transforms the car and is the most significant change to the D4 range.

I went from a MY2011 6 speed to a MY2012 8 speed and I have to say it is totally worth it, the car just seems to drive so much better with the 8speed and I don't mind the knob Whistle Laughing

I agree with parts of both the above.....I have warmed to the "Rotary Gear Selector" aka knob, and appreciate the space it has freed up from the central console......(having been in the latest RRS,I would prefer the lever from that car if I'm being honest ) but the on-the-road advantages of the 8-speed 'box far outweigh any downsides.
I went from an '05 D3 straight to a 2012 D4,and the biggest game-changer for me were the brakes....you may even get to appreciate the paddles, which I ridiculed until I got to live with them Embarassed

SWMBO's MY10 HSE is great &. Pleasure to drive, I now have an MY12 HSE & it's sooooooooo much better, smoother, feels more responsive, loving my flappy paddles (didn't think I'd use them but I do), interior looks "cleaner" without gearstick so yes "I love my knob"! (Sits back to wait for schoolboy comments Whistle Whistle Whistle )
