TONS OF BLACK SMOKE

HI Guys

Please help.
lots of Black Smoke when Floored or on Kick down. went to local indi for diagnostic, said loss of turbo pressure had pipes checked egr's blanked still no joy. What else could it be????????

Please any help will be appreciated.

Any fault codes stored and read, any messages on instrument cluster? Cleaned the MAP sencor? Checked if the intercooler is not blocked(externally)?
 A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

unfortunately got no codes.
Intercooler checked all ok must clean MAP Sensor will do Tonight.
No Dash warnings at all
i'm lost.

What do you mean by no codes? Can't the Indi read the codes? Start braking some big deals, rob a bank,this could make all your saving go up in black smoke just ask DSL Whistle

my Money was on intercooler hose , mine went last week , 2" split at the back at top of hose on o/s

Check for oil resudie from the intercooler and look at the intercooler tubes to make sure one of them has not split. Ive done quite a few that have burst on the engine side of the cooler near the top middle.

Also as said check for intercooler hose splits or delamination.

You should be able to here if both egrs are moving after you turn the key off you will here clicty click alternating from both egr valves one at a time as they clean, if you only here click click then one is stuck.
