Tomorrow
right lads, the dawn of a new era is almost upon me and I'm off to the dealer tomorrow to pick up my new plaything. so full of beans at the moment I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight. I was going to post in the morning before I left but I'm just too excited and had to put finger to keyboard and even the Mr Negatives could do little to dampen my enthusiasm. 8) 8)

Enjoy mate... and at last you'll be able to speak with authority and a little more intelligence with a D3 sat on your new drive.

dunno about that but I'll give it my best shot. Oliver it's a Chawwwwwton White HSE (Aussie spec) Alpaca leather with rear e-diff and comes with one happy muppet as a driver and as a bonus since I'm flying up to get it the wife and kids will be at home, so no one to bug me. if only I could bottle this feeling I'd be richer then Gatesy. cheers guys

sounds cool. I wish I had the bottle to order white but we're a bit slow here in the UK on the white take up. The D3 looks really good in white.
If you're flying up to get it, how long will your first drive be? Sounds like quite a long one.
Will look forward to the photos.

Enjoy CW, its been a long wait for U. I'll be on hols from 2pm UK time today (Fri) so will catch up when back after 2 weeks of dragging hounds round the rainy Scottish Highlands (no internet at home or where we are staying ). No doubt all will go well, your cheeks (face ones!!!!!!) will ache with grinning all the way back. Remember lots of pics & storey stacked up so that I can scive a few days after I get back to Uni!

Oliver, first drive not as long as others have but once on the outskirts of Adelaide it's approx 4-4 1/2 hours plus maybe 3/4 to 1 hour out of the city (not many points left on licence so have to take it easy and I'm in no rush) plus a few stops on the way to admire. would be a long day both ways and wife wasn't keen on following me home in the shiny new car 8) White was more a financial decision (metallic an extra $1500) but seeing many pics I quite like it.
Derek, cheeks been in training all week and permagrin is down pat now and going camping (sort of) next weekend so will have plenty to show. enjoy your hols. what a weekend, new car then Sunday is fathers day so everyones got to be nice. I'm in heaven 8)
Congratulations, CW . My cheeks are still hurting from last wednesday, and every time I look out of the window it starts all over again .
Enjoy the maiden voyage and have fun! 2006 Zermatt Silver TDV6 'SE' Auto, Mantec sump guard, Frontrunner roofrack, Lightforce 140s, split charge system and... a Jetboil.

Catweasel, I agree. there is nothing quite like the picking up of a new car (you young fellows hold your tongue) but to drive away from the dealers in a NEW D3 must be a bit like Royalty feels. Like everyone is looking at them and are as jealous as all get out. ('cept for Princess Anne maybe).
Enjoy the run back from Adelaide.

* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)
