Hi everyone!

just entered your forum and the MTR-club on the weekend. What tire pressure do you guys use for paved roads daily use, and for offroading?
thanks in advance!

Thanks!

offroad - what is the lowest experienced pressure w/o problems of unmounting from the rim? does it make sence to deflate for offroading? does the tire improove traction? (it seems by that low profile it won't bring any noticeable flex to the tire)

Lowest I've ever dropped them is 15 PSI where the terrain was loose gravel & mud only for a few hours or so.The MTR as you know has a very stiff sidewall and is more than capable handling the low pressures.Deflating the tyre increases its footprint which helps traction immensely. If you look at any of the Morrocco or Tunisia threads in the Events section you will find experiences of using MTRs in sand . No personal experience in sand I'm afraid.

I use 14psi on my MTRs in soft, wet sand. Probably done about 3000km all up in sand at this pressure and no pinched sidewalls, rim roll-offs or anything else untoward. That said, I never do any quick turns on sand - both to keep the rims attached and the D3's roof pointing up. Laughing
