Just noted from another thread that the ticking sound people are getting maybe injectors (normal?)

Just found this old thread. Though I might add that mine does it as well! Wink

Car is a 59 plate D3. Doesn't always do it, but when it does it's always on the ovverun. Several loudish tick,tick, ticks from the engine bay. Done this from when I got the car with 8K on it. Noise is loud enough for my missus to hear it and she never hears any of the D3 noises I hear (or think I hear)!! Laughing

Touch the throttle and it goes away. Havn't heard it for a while and I think it's temperature related so hear it more on a hot sunny day!

Got to be normal given the number of people reporting it??

I've not heard mine do it since summer - but maybe that's because i don't open the windows in winter!

Now at 90k miles & nothing sinister has happened Thumbs Up
 Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!
