Hi
I am wondering if my LR3 (4.4l V8) has an issue with the throttle (map/calibration of TPS).
When starting from a standing start, the first light pressure on the throttle pedal will cause the car to lurch forwards, with further pressure being more linear in response.
It feels like the the 1st 10% of pedal travel = 30%+ of the throttle response.
Taking your foot off the pedal after the initial lurch will of course result in kangaroo'ing down the the street
I've been driving long enough to know I can kangaroo if I want to, but its usually with a lot more aggressive pedal action.
Is there anything I can do to check or has anyone else had this issue?

Mine does the same thing unless I'm really steady when pressing the accelerator , I've sort of got used to it.
I've also driven another forum members d3 v8 and his also reacted the same. It might just be a quirk of this particular engine but I'm sure someone with more technical knowledge will come along soon with a reply.  1996 Defender -died (now in landrover heaven😇)chassis to ashes , rust to dust !

This can be a symptom of a poor remap, try starting off in mud and snow mode. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
