Throttle lag & juddery steering |
|
I have had 3 disco 3's now, all had throttle lag. I thought my latest (MY07) was better but it seems to be getting worse now. I am getting a little bit off with it now. Does the mapping etc go off over time ? Should I take it to my dealer ?
The other issue I have is juddery steering, mainly off road & over bumps in the road, and sometimes the steering 'patters' when I brake & turn at the same time. Been in the dealers once, but they said it was OK. Any TSB's for this one, I think its coming from the upper part of the steering column in the cabin.
thanks for any help. 2007 TDV6 HSE 'Silver Lady'. With 'free' privacy glass LOL.

There is a TSB on rattling steering and you may find that the ARB stirrups need replacing - also bushes.

Mine's the same! I have it on good authority that LR decided to use a carrier pigeon to relay the message from the accelerator pedal to the engine. Press the pedal and about a week later, the engine gets the message, springs to life and you accelerate away. Have you been feeding your carrier pigeon? Maybe it's a bit sick?
I'm taking my car in next week to have the Tube-chip upgrade. Apparently this relies on a speaking tube from near the driver's mouth and re-location of the voice-activation circuit to the engine's ECU. You speak into the tube and say "engine, go faster" and allegedly, the engine responds within a day or two! This is believed to be a few days quicker than the carrier pigeon as originally supplied. Oh and I almost forgot to add, the engine needs to be run on chip fat! From Yorkshire!

I don't suppose that someone could post the TSB number for the rattly steering issue here could they. I can't seem to find it on a search!

The knocking could be ARB stirrups, bushes etc on the front suspension arms.
