Any thoughts/advise please
Fitted a set of 255/55x19 GG AT3 a couple of months ago but not convinced about them, wondering about Goodyear Duratecs in the same size i believe these are MT's so could be noisier on the road but other than that is there any pros/cons ?.

I've just come up to 45k miles on my Duratracs. They were quiet to start with but have had a drone to them for the last 10k - 15k miles. Nothing major mind you, I just turn the stereo up.
It depends what your used to. I used to bomb along at 60mph in my old Series 3 . That was loud enough for you to lose your voice when trying to talk to your passenger. So by my standards the drone in the D3 isn't a problem!
It's more of a half way between AT and MT.
Performance wise i've put them through almost everything and they haven't failed me. I would say though I have some minor chunking and cuts in the tread. Oh and the siping doesn't go all the way down so i'm not expecting them to be quite as good in the snow this year.
I think i'll be moving to Cooper ST-Maxx next as I plan to use the vehicle in more challenging terrain in the coming years.
