Third row sun blind won't stay shut
My car's third row roof sun blind has decided to start popping open on it's own while I'm driving (the noise scared the out of me the first time it did it ).
The catch doesn't seem to be very secure. Has anyone discovered a non-destructive, semi-permanent way to make it stay closed?

There is a TSB out for that one - 3rd Row Sun Roof Blind not latching -LTB00924
Parts needed: CPF500020 x 4
They basically put spacers where the latch is. Whether it works or not is another matter, as others on the forum have had all sorts of problems, including having to have the headlining replaced D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
D4 MY13 HSE Lux - RLD/IID BT

Thanks guys, I've got the extended warranty, so might take it in.... however, I had a flash of inspiration and I think I've fixed it with 5 minutes work and 5p worth of materials. It's now rock solid - time will tell if the fix lasts or not but I can't see why it should fail.
The fix:
I remembered that I had some off-cuts of self adhesive backed ridged rubber lying around - this stuff
So, I cut two pieces off and stuck one to the black bit on the underside of the glass, above the catch in the headlining here:
and stuck the other on top of the foam pad above the catch on the blind here:
The ridges on the rubber are aligned side to side across the car so that in addition to pushing the catch firmly down in to the head lining, the ridges on the two pieces of rubber grip on each other to prevent the blind sliding open unless it is pulled downwards first.
Job done for less than the cost of the diesel to take the car to the dealer's. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

That's probably a better fix than Land Rover can do, they repaired mine on my MY2015 and it lasted a week Cheers Ian

That's a good novel fix, but if you keep the blind closed semi-permanent it will very quickly suffer from a weak spring and will not retract to close It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
