We use back to back quite a lot in contracts and agreements. It’s commonly used to slave subcontractors to some terms from the master services agreement between the customer and prime contractor for example. Also used in payments sometimes - subs don’t get any money before the prime gets money from a customer.

Thumbs Up

Lorries are flatbeds and trucks have sides. Useage may have changed but that’s what it used to be in the days before articulated lorries appeared.

Thumbs Up Way back in my young days lorries with sides mainly tipped so were called tippers. Never trucks.

One of my all time faves on pronounciation is from a travel program called globe trekker that SWMBO used to watch. One of the travelers, Ian Wright, pronounces water as “wo-a” Thumbs Up Rolling with laughter

And why not there is not t waugher, it rhymes with daughter without the t Laughing

It is fairly common in cockney and other working class London accents to drop tees and aiches, so house is ouse etc. Both my parents were true born cockneys born within the sound of Bow bells.
