Wheel Nuts - when changing my road wheels over to my off road wheel, I couldn't believe the difference on the wheel nut torques!
I had one wheel where I had to stand on the wheel brace to undo.
On another wheel, it was if it was tightened by hand, then just one full turn.
Tailgate Upper Strut - Just noticed the strut securing bolt which threads into the rear pillar had literally undone itself.
The bolt was just threaded in and no more. I reckon severe damage could have been done to the body, had I not noticed and tightened it.
Side Protection Tubes - when assessing the damage sustained at Tong, I noticed one of the three securing torque bolts was half undone.
What does this say about Land Rovers attention to detail whilst servicing ??? I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

That's nothing. I had a couple of TVRs a few years ago (pre-kids) which regularly fell apart - loose screws, missing jubilee clips, leaking windscreen, leaking boot, leaking windows, trim falling off etc.
On the other hand, they were superb cars to drive (one even had a LR V8 in it, complete with LR-branded rocker cover) once the bugs had been ironed out.
Then the Russians spoiled it all......

On TVR's you can understand it, they were kit cars originally and they never got out of the habit of letting the customer put them together properly
My brother still his TVR S3 as a summer car and he stripped it apart and put it back together properly.

The most annoying thing - the dealers telling you "Well, it's a hand built car, sir. What do you expect?". Apparently it's part of the car's "character".
But like I said - top car when it's running.

Tailgate strut should have been done by your dealer during the Enhancement Program..

They are fantastic cars, proper seat of the pants driving. Friend totalled a Tamora on the M27 in the wet, but walked away without a scratch. Made the fatal mistake of flooring it to overtake another car and all that happened was the back of his overtook him.

Was this a recognised problem Simon?
If so, what were the main issues and fixes?
When was this enhancement program released?
What other enhancements were on it?
It's going in for service next Friday and I would like to know all the facts so I can 'beat them over the head with a stick'!

Yes
Refit and torque of nut on the strut - plus some thread lock I think
Last year around May I think - do a search - there is a TSB on GTR all about it
Software update, compressor mod
Just ask the dealer... not sure if your D3 was bought post the program. Either way, a good dealer should check these things.
Off for me tea
