Theve only gone and dun it!!!
Fixed the vibration on my Discovery 4 (see posts they all do that sir and lower suspension arm) it may have taken seven weeks but the dealer finally cracked my vibration issue. Many thanks to Nick at the dealers and Pete from LandRover support for keeping everyone one the ball.
My current dealer traced the history for me and them about the replacement of a lower suspension arm, replaced so early in the cars life (I was worried the car had been in an accident prior to me having it) turns out it was changed for a knocking bush, the arm and bush come as one part.
It seems the vibration was due to the fact that whoever did the suspension arm, took off the streering wheel and replaced it a quarter of a turn out, then ajusted the track rods hard over to one side, this in turn made one of the valve on the steering rack vibrate.
Don't know if it's all a load of bull, but it's fixed, that's all I care about

More likely the other way around: slung the bottom arm on, reconnected the tie rod ends and did the tracking - then found they hadn't done it with the steering wheel central so the easiest option was to take it off and put it back straight rather than doing the tracking again. It was probably a Friday afternoon.Andrew
