My D3 SE is an Oct registered 08 model. Asked the dealer to 'pair' my BlackBerry Curve to the car - They have told me it won't work so they fitted (FOC) a Parrot CK 3000 Evolution system which works fine. Never had this problem before (not being able to pair the BB) so wondered if this a known problem with LRs and - is there another way of resolving it? Standard SatNav fitted.  Also I don't have the telephone controls on the steering wheel

Hey Bud, and welcome to the forum.
Sounds like you don't have the BT installed in your car at all (standard SatNav, no telephone controls give a hint). Good on the dealer to offer the Parrot FOC.
FYI I have paired the Curve with no problems at all on my 08MY D3, and in fact it works better with the Curve than with say any HTC (phonebook is properly sorted for example in the BBRY).

Thought you had a HSE......?
Not sure aboiut working with the curve, but my 07 HSE works fine with iPhone. I wonder if they've removed the factory fit BT. I wouldn't be happy with a Parrot, but good that they installed it for yoiu. I'd check to make sure you have the factory fit PTI also......

He said there is no phone controls on the steering wheel ..more like they forgot to spec the PTI kit and have fitted the parrot to cover there  G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

If this goes to me, yes I do but not sure what bud has (though I thought all HSE's come with the premium satnav and he states a standard one)
Quoting the site I posted earlier, "The Bluetooth® enabled telephone system is controlled from the steering wheel and from the Touch-screen." not clarifying if applicable to all variants... (would be interested to find out what they mean by touch-screen control, is this a feature added in the 09MY cars???)

Budweiser, can you confrm what spec you have? Profile says HSE, post says SE. Just before we all get outraged at your dealer ripping you off! Did you specify PTI? Personall I wouldn't accept the parrot if I'd specified pti....... Bodsys Brake Bible

Sorry guys its my cock up. The car is an SE + extras. Thank you all for your replies . I believe the sales guy thought the vehicle was fitted with the phone but it wasn't so they fitted the Parrot. I have been so pleased with the way I have been treated that I will forgive this er mistake! They also gave me 4 new tyres though the ones fitted had a good 50% tread left. The car is gorgeous and I hate fooking phones anyway

 You look like you have found a great dealer there, correcting a mistake with a Parrott kit. If the screen is colour on the kit we can text a LR logo to you and you then bluetooth it to the kit as wallpaper
