900mm does not mean you have to open the doors and flood the interior as it will deal with 900 mm with no issues. If you go past that it may start to float, that is when you open the doors and let the flood water in to weigh it down and then you can drive outMY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Choices, choices. You can write your car off if it floats away never to be seen again or you can write it off opening the door & flooding the interior with all the ECU, other electronics and looms.

What a load of cods..... the ability to restart after you've flooded the car... the only reason you'd be opening those doors would be because the car has already broken down halfway across.
Great they've managed to position the sensors higher up but I'm sure I've seen other vehicles making crossings with water well over 900mm and not float away.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

I have seen videos of cars almost submerged, but when they have come back onto land they are flooded.

I suppose that if you lose 500kg by fitting a, full Mothercare spec 2.0 litre, that's half a cubic less water it can displace before the pretty thing floats away! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

On the grounds that I don't actual need to peddle the car along, I'm not as bothered by a little weight as the fashionista; certainly not enough to fit a fairy cake of an engine!

I'm impressed by the apparent 500mm of wheel articulation at each corner. That's significantly more than the older versions.
The "park it in water with the doors open for an hour" test is also impressive. In the handbook of my RRS (D3-based obviously) it says standing it in water above the cills for any length of time is likely to cause electrical issues. That's with the doors shut!Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
