Teardrop Trailer
Whilst waiting on my rock an tree sliders and some new tyres I decided to fit my new Roof top tent and 270 degree awning to my home made teardrop trailer over the weekend. I have fitted it on 4 jacks so it can be raised and lowered to allow you to walk under it when setup but as low as possible for storage and when towing.
To say I am pleased is an under statement
I have the zip on awning to go under the tent also which will add some additional privacy to the entry of the trailer, its going to be great for the longer family camping trips. Its also great to sit back with a beer and laugh at your mates while they are still struggling with their normal tents
I just need to make a few changes to the rear hatch design now due to a small water leak over the winter, mainly due to it being left out in the cold all winter.
Best of all, its only a few bolts and everything can be easily transferred to the roof rack on the Disco if i am going for a shorter break or hopefully a few green laning trips later in the year.
Hope you all like
Roll on getting out of this lock down.

Thanks Both
Iguana inside the main section you have a double bed and clothes storage and the rear opens up with a kitchen area.
The rear hatch is being redone this weekend due the the leak but I am taking the opportunity to change the design a little as the hatch can be quite heavy to lift and needs lifting quite high to get under.

Again very 8)
Gas struts could be the way forward, even the ones used on the Disco tailgate.
I have some on my trailer for the kitchen door, two would I think be sufficient for your rear doorIggy/Ieuan

Just had a quick look at the photos of yours in your gallery, also very cool.
I have been thinking about gas struts, that may be one of the additions I make

Looks good
All we need is the all clear to be able to meet up at The Forest Of Dean
Nice to meet the person behind who did share ideas and knowledge. As all approach things differently and have areas that others might not be so strong especially singing Welsh Collie Chauffeur Service To Barney & Rooney.
