ah, but you are forgetting to take into account the ring around Uranus!

If i were wou i would not hold my breath for the TDV8 in the D3...

If it were to be going into a D3, planning would have started up to 5 years ago, and i'm sure something would have leaked about it.

It's nice to dream about a D3 with that engine in it, but i think that is as close as anyone will get to actually driving it.
D3 TDV8 HSE on order, Should Arrive 2017. If i'm lucky.

TDV8 in D3

Been at the Peckforton LRE site today playing with a FFRR TDV8. 8) , which I must admit was rather nice. However, the gossip there was that the Police are testing / getting a few D3s with the TDV8.

Something to do with the D3 being more practical and cost-effctive than the Range Rovers they presently use, but they would have missed the xtra oomph the TDV8 offers.
 D3 HSE V8...

I have both!

you lucky chap Very Happy , must be nice, I notice they are both TDV6 too, how do they compare, as for refinement ride quality and performance etc.
i would expect the RRS to handle better, but is the D3 a more refined cruiser?

As for looks, I love the D3 but would have gone for a RRS on looks alone, but we needed the 7 seats, so no go Sad

If it makes no sense waiting for a TDV8 in the Disco3, it will be a real fortune having a 2,7TD delivered in Mai while 3 month later the 3,0 TD will be on sale.

Where do I find a public plan of mod´s?

The 2,7 is far away to be the engine of my dreams for a 2,6t plus vehicle...

My dealer told me that the V8 was going in the RR to try to stop the drift of sales from the RR to the disco.

If that is correct, I can't see why they would put the V8 in. I wouldn't be surprised to see the old 3.0V6 from the range rover though although I'm not convinced it is a better engine than the TDV6. The TDV6 is quieter.

What was the 3.0 V6 in the Range Rover?

If you mean the at least 2 generations old BMW straight 6 diesel in the RR, its not a patch on the TDV6, as such will never be put in Disco.
