I always have my cars debadged. Looks much cleaner. The older I get, the better I was.

I used a photograph of a D3 in a magazine to work out the spacing and positioning (D3 feature in a caravan magazine) and also went off the DISCOVERY 3 lettering on the left hand side. Looks okay to me, only perhaps if parked alongside another could someone notice a spacing error if there was one.
I wont in case my spacing's wrong, but I'm sure someone on here will list the dimensions for you.

Bloody hell its freezing out there.....
The "E" is positioned 70mm from the edge of the tailgate, and 125mm below the lower lip of the top tailgate on my 05 MY SE..... just been and checked
I can put a couple of pics here if it helps?

If you buy from a dealers, TLO then the badges come stuck to a template of sorts and have all the necessary spacing already done.
All you need to do is either work out how far in from the edge it should be, simple. ATB

Many thanks for going to that trouble dude
Are those dims from the top right corner of the letter 'E'?
If you don't mind and can set aside my current obsessive behaviour as it may appear a photo would be useful
Thanks,
Rob

Or it was repainted by a half ass shop... have had it happen here. 17 Discovery 5 HSE Si6, Fuji White on brown | 07 LR3 SE 4.4 Java Black on Alpaca
Club V8/Club OCD
Decided I didn't want the full '3.0 TDV6 HSE' so just ordered the 'HSE' letters.
As Alan G says, the spacing is already made for you on the paper backing.

Thanks for the offer marsie, very much appreciated but for what I expect the cost to be I think I'll get 'em locally.
Oh, and I know that they're already spaced between letters on the paper they come with, it was more so where to apply on the car but tomcat has gone the extra mile/come up trumps with that one
