Hi all,
Very interested to see if anyone has done this on their D4/ D3.
Looking for some real world reviews or experience.
I have remapped everything I’ve owned but not keen on remapping the D4 as it’s still under warranty…..any one with any experience of the TDI tuning solution?
Thanks

I had a TDI box on my D3. Took it off and had it mapped properly by BAS. Didn't feel the need to map my D4 though. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

Thanks moo,
Remapping is not an option as said.
Any issues with the box? How did the remap improve over the box?
I had one on a Navara it was ok, and I liked the 7 modes to chose from. It now comes with Bluetooth so the modes can be selected from the drivers seat on the fly. A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Iv had loads of these different types of tuning boxes on different cars, always chose a decent reviewed one and they have always been good but recently put a used tdi tuning box on our mk7 golf gtd and it made a huge difference, it was on around 6/8 months and the car started going into limp mode. I plugged in vagcom and came up with boost pressure sensor, so ordered one and went to fit it and realised that the box was plugged into the sensor, so just unplugged the box for a trail and the car stopped going into limp mode. Now the tuning box was used and wasn’t in the as new condition as stated so possibly just that box but it was enough to put me off them. 2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

I removed the TDI box becuase it was crude and just over fueled the engine. It was aslo very peaky and not a smooth drive.
I ended up decatting, fitted a larger intercooler and proper remap. Huge improvement. As i said, I found no need to remap the D4 and with its ability to snap cranks and blow out inlet manifolds I would only do a proper remap if at all. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

Yes I must admit I wouldn’t mess with the d4, like I have with previous vehicles. Engines are to complicated now. 2015 D4 HSE Loire Blue

Haha!
Thanks gents appreciated.
I have one on 30 day sale or return so I'll see what I think but I'm already swaying towards your opinions!
Thanks again.

I see you have a box on 30 day trial so assume it's the Bluespark one. I have used them on 3 cars and can honestly say they are superb. I am about to order one for my D4. Some mistakes are to good to only make once.

https://bluesparkautomotive.com/ Have a read of the reviews, I had them on both my Abarth 595s and also my Kia sportwagon. Totally transformed all of them. Some mistakes are to good to only make once.

I had one of these bluespark boxes on my FLR2, it was really good. They are not set up for max power, but for more mid range and it was greatly improved.
Im not sure they can be as good as a proper remap, but it was great for what I needed it for and the company are well worth calling as they tell you straight. 2013 Baltic Blue D4 - a balance between family car and camping machine - trying to not bladder it with stuff I dont need!
2008 FLR2 - bit travelled and surprisingly good - exchanged for above
1967 S2a SWB - the old girl - current, original and much loved
1998 - Td5 overlander - much travelled and very much missed
1996 - 300Tdi 110 overlander - much travelled and much missed
1998 - FLR 1 td4 - my first Civvy Land Rover!
