Tasteless or Cool ?
Hi,
installed gray stripe into windshiel. My wife says that it's tasteless. As you know, the kids know the truth always. My sons they say that it's pretty cool.
I don't know but anyway. functionality of it is OK: it hides the LCD TFT mirrow display and work well as glare shield.
What do you think, should I rip it apart ?

To be honest, it makes the windscreen look shallow, and It gives the roof line a deeper visual impression.
But please don't take my word for it, I am to design and styling what Land Rover is to formula 1 racing

One year I did 3 weeks motoring holiday in N Norway. It was mostly good weather the sun was at a low angle all the time, this would have been very useful as the visor on the car I was in was useless.

Looks OK mate.
One thing I really wish LR had fitted was a central sun visor like they do on Audi's
Sods law decrees the sun will be above the rear view mirror 99% of the time making the drivers and passengers sun visor useless.

I don't think it looks to bad at all. It serves the purpose you want and looks not bad. Keep it on what anyone else thinks. 8)

Not a problem IMO, don't expect anyone would really notice it. Unlike the massive "roo" bar .

Offroader - despite what others may think, if it meets your needs and you are happy, then the question is answered.
Besides, it could provide a nice backdrop to DISCO3.CO.UK stickers.
I have often thought of a need for extra protection when driving into an early or late sun during our present winter.

* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)
I think that it's neither tasteless nor cool. It just is! And if it does the job, then it's a good thing.
I worried about the same things before I put on buulbars, winches, rear tyre carriers, roofracks etc, but at the end of the day, I want to be able to do what makes me happy and the things I've added will make what I want to do even more enjoyable.
So, IMHO if it does the job and enhances your enjoyment of the D3, then it's cool by default.
(Now, hanging a pink garter from the rear vision mirror or putting sticker on the back that says 'If the car's a-rockin, don't bother knockin".......That's tasteless!!)Have a nice day!
