Hi, we are about to enter Disco ownership for the first time, likely a 10 plate D4 XS from a LR dealer with mfr warranty.
I believe a number of LR registered cars were actually LR Experience vehicles that may have suffered off road abuse. Is there any way of tracking down the vehicles if I know the registration?

welcome 
don't assume just because they have been off road they have been "abused" - that's not necessarily the case. its what they are designed to do. now if it has been sat unused for days on end and only covered a very small number of miles, personally I would avoid those myself!
LRE cars are well looked after. you may also well find that a car that's been privately owned and used offroad has actually been better looked after than one that's just done the school run driven by someone who knows nothing about, or has no interest in them. Duncan

Normally they are silver in colour, but hving said that they all go back to the factory and have any work that is required before they are sent out for sale. Having said that I am sure if you get a reg number people on here will be able to point you in the right dirrection.
There are several car on the forum so perhaps it might be worth looking at some of these.

Guys,
Thanks for the responses. Maybe I should just calm down and have a cup of tea then!
I am after a green D4 as I have matching tweed and a black lab and golden retriever to go with it  .

Remember that a lot of the vehicles with Land Rover as a first owner are ex-management level car scheme vehicles. These will outnumber the LRE cars by a large margin  06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
