tailgate's stuck

Hey people,

We're currently in Albania with a small (but annoying) issue: the tailgate has been stuck and we cannot open it. We can hear the electrical sound and the attempt to get unlocked but it's locked solid. All the other doors are fine.

Any idea what's the culprit and the costs involved?
Has anyone managed to fix this issue with a screwdriver only..?

I fixed mine using only a screw driver, and I then re-enforced the snapped 'L' shaped connection with a small allen key, by using a terminal block to connect the allen key to the cable permanently - works just fine now, but next time it goes I'll be claiming on the warranty just to get a new cable LOL. Check the thread below, don't try the fix in the dark like I did LOL, and be very very patient - it's very fiddly to do!

chocolademan - that's exactly how I fixed mine, but didn't use you instructions - great write up and pics, and I can confirm the fix will work very well indeed - great minds think alike Very Happy
