Tailgate tent

Can anyone recommend a tailgate tent? Have seen these but no idea if suitable for D3

As a day tent or for an occasional use overnight stop, or serious holiday tent?

The Autohaven maybe what you're looking for. Used one on a Defender for a while, and was easy to pitch.

Occasional use overnight stop. Just me when I fancy a weekend of car camping.

Autohaven looks interesting? Single skinned?

Yes, one of the initial list. They look ‘robust’. Have you used one?

Autohaven are single skinned. They were around £100... and still around on Ebay.
Good value and would do an overnight stop easily.

Oops Embarassed blame the cider.
I’ve been in a Caranex, but never owned one. Someone on here bought one recently, but I’ve had more cider and can’t remember who it was.
I think they’re great.

Yes I have one for my D3 ( the H4 version for a 4x4 ) They are basic but very easy to put up. I have just waterproofed it as I had a little leak at ice fest this year. It is the stand alone version with extra poles and built in ground sheet so you can drive away from it, there is a cover that then covers up the gap left by the car. They are great for easy set up and easy pack up. I paid £200 for this as they hold their money quite well, new this would be around £450 I think.

Last couple of photos are from when I did the waterproofing in my garage earlier this year.It is just drying

Many thanks for the owner feedback. I quite like the look of them.
