Normally this unlocks along with all the other doors - not now
I need to use the remote tailgate button, once to partially/half unlock, and the again to fully release.
Call to dealers tomorrow.

Had the same problem could get in if you lift same time as u pres the tailgate open button need new upper tailgate open handle switch had packed in

OK - the car has been back to the dealer twice now and still not fixed
The first time it was 'Oh - you mean that lock'
Today it was 'we got the right part as labelled on the box - but it's the wrong part inside the box'
It's now a part factory order suggesting it's a common fault - that common the bloody dealer hasn't got a clue about it.
You can't help but think they make money each time they feck you around

Had the same problem on my Disco 3 - there is a common fault with the rear tailgate switch especially when water has got in.

Dealer called yesterday.
The part which was made of unobtanium has suddenly turned up.
Back in on monday.
