Tailgate bubbled paintwork

Hi all,

I have done a good search but I couldn't find anything too definitive on bubbling paintwork.

As I am sure you can tell, this is on the top of the lower part of the tailgate. 2014 D4

Any special advice on curing? Anyone experienced this before?

I’m wondering if that’s been previously repaired. It’s only 7 years old! 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
2010 D4 HSE (A bit bling)-GONE
2014 D4 HSE (Almost too bling)-GONE
2015 D4 HSE (A heated what?)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Written Off)-GONE
2016 D4 Landmark (Surely the last!) PD1881 rims-GONE
2017 FFRR SDV8 Autobiography (now semi-retired)

We've had the car since late 2017, bought from the dealer in Stirling. Only just noticed it but can't say for sure how long it's been there...
