swopping in a 6cd headunit for a base model unit

Can I swop in a 6cd changer head unit directly for a base model unit, have the oppertunity to buy one, and wondered if it was a simple swop one in job?
If not, is it possible, and is there much involved? Thumbs Up [/i][/u]

In a word................No Sad

If you want to upgrade then there are some threads about aftermarket solutions using double din panel and kenwood kit Thumbs Up

Don't go there....................

Universal Double Din is the way forward on a base D3,should know I've done it!!! Very Happy . Not that hard to do and can be very cost effective + you get loads more functionality

Thumbs Up

After market is the way to go. Thumbs Up

You can get some really good units with blue teeth and Sat Nav or even a car PC (you could put a screen in the cubby) to fit in the double din opening. Put an amp under the seat and a sub in the rear cargo door.
You will end up with a better system than the Hi-line one.
