just swopped our lovely S spec 2005 discovery 3 (silver) for cairns blue 2007 HSE. the new car is soo much 'tighter' and i love the lighter interior (alpaca and the sunroofs) but miss the simplicity/clarity of the silver (waits for lighting bolts ...... ) now have to bolt on the mantec, fit the roof rails and the tons of crud (where did it all come from! )that I had to clean out after 12months of fantastic ownership.

Simplicity and Clarity rool ok What if the "Hokey Cokey" really is what it's all about?
'54 TDV6 Auto SE, Silver, Leather, HSE Wheels, Alpine Roof, Light Guards, Black Side Tubes, Tints.
Y 110 County Commercial, White, just bought it... watch this space for added bits!
Cairns blue with alpaca? Dreadful combination......
Nice choice Dave. Look forward to seeing your Disco3 sticker somewhere on the M27/M3 soon I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

How on earth did you get a dealer to "swop" a '05 S for a '07 HSE I'm changing my '06 Base 5 seater for a new 7 Seater GS tomorrow and I am definately paying a big fat cheque to poor Mr Stealer (no swop here!!!)
well.... when i say 'swop' I did have to pass over a wedge of folding stuff!! but the trade in was much better than I had expected and rather than me transfering tow electrics and a few other bits, he included them all in and I got a good discount on the window price. I did take out the gap, paint protection and tyre insurance which I normally wouldnt do but the deal was still very good with this included - it almost felt like he had to shift a vehicle to hit a target on the additional insurances - so all round VERY happy!!
my new circular disco2 stickers were carefully peeled off and will be transplanted along with mantec, tow bar, load protector, first aid, tools torches, toys!! etc
whats wrong with carins blue alpaca?? - the dark cloth in our silver one picked up every stain and mark from - i would rather have an interior that is easy to clean (and looks clean for longer!!).
see you on the M3 (not in rush hour - don't do crowds!!)
cheers
Dave

I suspect that ND was taking the p - he has cairns blue + probably alpaca
I think thats a cool combination - I have stornoway + alpaca which looks good too. I just love the interior so light and the leather is pretty easy to clean when the terrorists get their sticky mits and muddy boots all over it.Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond
Sadly Gone : MY08 D3 TDV6 HSE : Stornoway + Alpaca + Privacy + BAS Remap

ND was taking the pi%% - he does have Cairns and Alpaca - which is such a 8) 8) combination
He also has a healthy dose of bramble rash - which just adds to the appeal - like mine

quick question... is it possible (without RTFM) to ensure that the aircon is always switched off - I want the default to be off so that i use it only when either hot or steamy (waiting.....for the comments...) and, yes, I know it is wise to use it occasionaly to ensure seals dont dry out (another opportunity for comments.....)
cheers

You need to look at the emoticons - ND's "" icon was definately there.

Can't you just hit the off button - as far as i remember, if you turn the HVAC off, then any number of on/off's of ignition won't change the HVAC control.... but i could be wrong.
You could be......... but you're not The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
