Swift Conqueror 630 lux - water pump - Resolved
Ok, having drained the water system over the winter, had the caravan out a few week ago. External aqua roll starts to fill the internal cold water tank and water heater. Hot water tank then starts to overflow before the internal tank fill. With the taps open the hot water tank continues to overflow, taking water from the external Aqua roll, but nothing through the taps !
That's the first problem, the 2nd is possibly why i'm not getting water from the taps. Seems the internal pump is goosed. On internal pump lights dim when I try and use it, hence goosed conclusion !
Anyone got any experience of this kind of setup or advice ?
Also trying to locate the internal pump, I'm assuming it located in the onboard tank under the front drawers There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

It sounds as if your internal pump has seized have you tried taking the internal pump out of the equation by not opening the internal tank valve so you are just using the aqua roll pump which i can do on my spectrum and a swift is basically the same van from the sound of my pump it is in the front lower locker with the tank:thumbsup:Discovery 3 se gone

I have, but continues to overflow on the heater unit and a dribbles out the tap.
Is the internal pump in the onboard tank ?There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

I have had the same, frozen pipes even though I did drain. Heat the van and let it thaw out and hope nothing breaks.

I take it you have turned your water direction valve to aqua roll and then external pump D3 HSE

I have two inlets on my Conqueror 645, one is direct to the tank which is drawn in from the submesible pump in the external tank. When using the aquaroll without the internal tank, the water is pulled up from the aquaroll by the internal pump. The socket the pump assembly fits to for using the aquaroll has no contacts whereas the tank supply socket does. Effectively the submersible pump is only used to fill the inboard tank and doesn't feed the taps/water heater at all.

It's been thoughrougly thawed out. Heating was on for a few weeks before we took it away. We've also been in it for a long weekend.
There are 3 valves.
1) drain heating cylinder
2) valve to open close flow / return to onboard tank (only open or closed)
3) open / close valve to drain on board tank.
I'm confused ! The water that pumps into the onboard tank appears to be bi-directional ?There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

I think you've nailed it !
Do you know where the internal pump would be located, given it supplies cold and hot water ?
I suspect without this I'm not going to be able expell any trapped air.
I think despite draining, there has maybe still been some water in the pump There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

To fill onboard tank:- Fill aqua roll put in external pump turn valve inside the van to on board tank turn tap on. Check water level indicator on panel turn off tap,when full.
To use aqua roll:- Fill aqua roll put in external pump turn valve back to normal position and turn hot tap to fill water heater after a lot of spluttering water should flow out of hot tap.Then turn tap,to cold and pull through.
To use on board tank:- Turn valve to onboard and the switch to internal pump.D3 HSE

My tank is located in the OSF seat base and I gain access by pulling down a flap on the front or lifting the top. The tank sits in a tray with all the pipework exposed in front of the tank. My internal pump sits to the right of the exposed pipework and can be accessed very easily. Have you checked the handbook?

Beno2 : definitely no valve to switch between internal / external. There is an internal switch above the door for internal / external pump.
Previously we have always filled onboard / heater from the external, then run from the internal and topped up as and when required from the external.
Fisherman : thanks for the link. It's an older van, was previously my parents and had 1 previous owner prior to that. The archive data from that link doesn't show a great deal of detail for the water system. I'll check out the wiring diagram to trace the elusive internal pump.
