Then I am assuming it is the same as the Elegance so there are two dump valves from memory and one three way vale to set up either the internal or external tank, if so have you checked these are all correct, from memory there is a drawing on the inside of the door.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Yeh 2 dump valves one for onboard cold water and 1 for the hot.
The other valve is only open / close to the internal onboard tank.
I'll take pictures when I'm back home later.
I'm pretty convinced that all my problems stem from the onboard pump not working, but just need to locate it.There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

Have you tried it with the onboard tank shut off so you just use the external pump in the aqua roll Discovery 3 se gone

Gobeyond it sounds as if you may either have an air lock in the system or a blockage when you drained down last season did you open the 2 drain cocks and open all the taps so as the water will drain out with gravity over time and leave them open also it sounds as the water limit in the hot water has failed and that could be why you are getting water over flowing i assume from the drain cock? which may be the same principle as a internal ball cock which keeps filling the hot water tank alternatively do you know anyone with the same water external water pump as that may not be switching off when it should could be worth a try Discovery 3 se gone

My swift con 2009 i sold a while ago used to baffle me. I would fill up from external aqua roll and water would come out of hot water tank pipe. Untill i realised i hadnt done up the the drain tap on said hot water tank. Not sure if you have checked that mine was under fixed bed. Also i think your internal pump is stuck or siezed. I used stowmarket caravans btw. They would help me over the phone with wanting to bring it in to look at. Very helpful workshop staff.

I think I have it sussed ! Onboard pump is restricting flow into the onboard tank. This is then causing more preassure to the H/W tank and overflow, where previously it would overflow at the internal tank.
I'll need to replace the internal pump to confirm this theory !There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

Arrive on site
Fill aqua roll and insert pump
Inside van switch to external pump and make sure said valve is in open position for internal tank.Lift cold tap external, pump, should now run and fill internal tank
Keep,an eye on panel water gauge and when full turn off tap
You might need to re fill aqua roll if not turn said valve the opposite direction and lift tap on hot side
The hot water tank will now fill up,some spluttering will occur turn off when water flows freely
Turn tap to cold to pull through water
All done
Switch hot water on and fill the kettle. D3 HSE

Beno2 : I think the internal pump is restricting the flow into the onboard tank. Suspect it's siezed.
When I switch over at the panel above the door, the onboard pump isn't running when the taps are opened. Lights also dim so suspecting the internal pump.
About to head up north for the weekend, so not going to get the chance to look at. Will pull the pump out next next week. Can at least test it on the bench.
Thanks for your help There is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

Also if it's the same as my 2005 abbey spectrum in front of the inboard tank just on the right hand side inside the cupboard is a valve to open the flow to the inboard tank i cant see if it's the same one as you have in your picture but they are basically the same van so i would think they have the same layoutDiscovery 3 se gone

So guys finally got round to getting this sorted !
Replaced the onboard pump which was clearly , which fixed that problem. However was still getting water overflowing at the hotwater tank.
Then the external water pump decides it's had enough and kicks the bucket !
Replacement sourced from the very helpful caravan site / accessory shop. Back to the overflowing issue trawlled tinternet and found the below T piece should have a valve.
Quick check with a friend down the road, who fortunately had the same model of water heater and result ! Mine was missing the pressure release valve !
