Suspension woes... again.
Seasons Greetings All
Any one had a fault like this... After driving for exactly 20 mins warning lights on dash illuminate a warning says suspension fault vehicle lowering !! Then if you switch off ignition and restart the fault clears itself for another 20 mins. Took car to Guy Salmon Stockport who says it was software problem and they have rebooted the software and guess what problem still there, and now I also get a warning saying Low Coolant which wasn't there before it went in.. And to cap it all handbrake fault and ive got to manually release the handbrake with the cable any body any ideas besides trade in for D4 MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

Lots of people having issues with this cold spell, all though some are no doubt genuine problems I suspect a lot of them are due to low battery voltage so that's the first thing I'd check Mr Sharks just to rule it out if nothing elseThe End

Hi Sharkysharks,
I had a similar problem, it was the ride height sensor had water ingress. Apparently the N/S front is the usual culprit as it is exposed to more water splash than the others. they are easy to change / inspect, two 8mm (I think) nuts and bolts, unplug it and see if there is any sign of verdigris or corrosion at the pins, if there is, theres a good chance that water has got in down the operating arm spindle. On the other hand,it could be something else.......... .
Regards, Barry.

Height Sensor
Hi Sharkysharks,
Put the suspension up to "off road" height which gives you more room, look under near side wheel arch and at about 1 o'clock to the road wheel you will find the sensor screwed to the chassis. It is a little lever arm plastic box with a link rod, also plastic, connecting to the lower wishbone, held on by two small nuts and bolts. Link rod ball joint just pops off.
Have a good Christmas.
Regards Barry
