I will soon be mounting the Nitto 285's but I'm concerned about the ride height at speed. One user noted that at speed, on rough roads, his vehicle had enough bounce for the wheels to just rub.
I noticed the mounting bolts at the top of the air bags has ~6mm of extra bolt. Would it be practical to put shims at the top of the airbag mount to increase ride height by ~6mm?
Will an increased load inside the vehicle lower the ride height or do the airbags keep ride-height the same, no matter the load?
Lastly, I figure there are some type of sensor that tells the computer the current ride height. And, there is probably some adjustability to the sensor, possibly used for alignment or whatever. I was thinking that a guy might be able to adjust the sensor to it's bottom-most position, possibly increasing ride-height a bit. Does anyone know if this is correct/feasible.

I would think not. If I remember back to when my car was new, and I had all the suspension problems, one of the causes was the calibration. Its very accurately done. So mucking about with height sensors may be asking for trouble.
