suspension problems........after wheel changes.

I have been reading about alot of suspension faults and problems on this site but none are quite the same as ours so here goes perhaps someone out there has an idea of a fix.
After having a puncture repaired so the car was up on a jack we keep getting a suspension fault.. at around 80km the warning "no default suspension selected ect" comes on with all the usual bells and whistles "drive at 50km" blah blah blah"... the ride height light and drive selections have all gone out and the suspension bottoms out. After switching off the engine locking and unlocking the doors then restarting the engine the ride height selection is lit and can be re-adjusted, then after repeating the process again the drive selection is also re-lit and off we go. The first time this happened (a few months ago) it seemed to settle down after a couple of times and didn't re-appear until we had the puncture repaired(last week). This has been going on for a few days now, not every journey and not every day sometimes on smooth roads sometimes not.. Any ideas anyone...!!

Hi Zig,

it was the passengers side front but being in france and lhd this was on the right... But the first time this happened it was the rear drivers side that was removed (lh).. however that time the fault cleared it's self

Anyone know what steering angle calibration is in french??? not sure it will be in my french/english dictionary!! Will prob try Google.

Thanks after reading these other posts it sounds just like our problem, so will translate all this to French and off to the local garage who assures us he can fix LR's, and since he has a RR i'm sure he can....... Will have a chat anyway..

They didn't juck it up under the compressor? Or elsewhere and pinch a loom?

Are you happy that it was not jacked where it should not have been jacked?

I take it this is not the same as having the wheels aligned, which has been offered by our local mechanic.

No - this calibration is carried out with a Diagnostic system, and tells the car when the wheels are in the straight-ahead position ...

well that didn't work... after a few days of fault free driving it is back.
So now off to boulogne again for a diagnostic lets hope it is something simple... though I doubt it.
