Hi Andrew,
Glad you found the problem Whistle Are you replacing the compressor or repairing it?

I had the same fault light and message, the fault on my car was the compressor filter, it was changed at Easr Rand Landrover at R3300.00, I lower and raise the suspension quite often, the blast of air from the compressor keeps the filter clear.

Steve I don't want to scare you, but the filter is a R700 part, and changing it is a 1 hour job. You got ripped

Andrew - are you certain it's fixed?

Sounds very very much like the issues I had.

Basically, the relay for the compressor intermittently stuck on - which causes the compressor to run and run. I wonder if your other issues are just coincidental.

If it is that issue, you may end up eating through compressors, valve blocks, lines, etc etc... Until you replace the relay Thumbs Up

John has a great point - the relay should be replaced first anyway

my first reaction whenever the "suspension fault" message comes up, is to switch the car off at the first opportunity i have.

if that doesn't work, my next step is to check the relay/fuse (yellow in colour - 60A) under the bonnet.

thus far the above steps were the only ones i had to take re the suspension fault, except for a "service" of the compressor a few months ago. the service consisted of removing the compressor, taking it apart, greasing some of the parts, put it back together and back into the vehicle and voila! problem solved.

so my advice - always start with the small (cheaper) things and then gradually move to the more expensive stuff.

hope this help
