A faulty suspension sensor? I had three suspension faults in one day when towing a trailer. Turned out to be the NSR sensor (i hope.... didnt come back, although have had another suspension fault which may well be compressor related)

Hi Marc,

To go into extended mode the suspension controller must think the car is grounded on something. If it isn't, then it could be one of the suspension height sensors is bad, or it could be something more involved like a corroded wire or connector.

The best way to get problems like this fixed is to have it looked at by someone who really knows what they are doing with D3's and has the diagnostic equipment to find the fault and recalibrate the suspension if needed.

I'd recommend both Iain Lambert (known as 10forcash on the forum or www.offroad-essentials.com) who is mobile out of Derby, or Steve Norman (forum name stevenorman) down at Shepton Mallet who are both real experts.

David
