When I had my vehicle serviced one of the recommended repairs required from the main dealer was to replace the air suspension compressor and software updates.
They stated suspension warning on display intermittently, carried out SSD diagnostics on air suspension, found fault code C1A13-64.
Parts required: KIT - COMPRESSOR - Part Number: LLR072537
Calibrate - air suspension.
Total cost for the parts andlabour£952.01
I have done a little research and one answer was this:
This fault is caused when the air suspension ecu does not see the ride height change in a set amount of time. The repair is fairly simple land rover as issued a new exhaust muffler for the air suspension compressor to prevent this fault from occurring. Here is the tech bulletin regarding the fault the procedure to correct.
Do I really need to replace the whole compressor for this fault or is there a more simple and cheaper fix?
The suspension light doesn't come on but it has done before various times. The car seems to be ok at the moment but then again I only use it in normal height mode.
If I am right the car does lower after parking it and locking the doors.
What do you guys think? Any other info you may ask let me know and I can test the car out.

They do lower/settle a bit when they are locked and why not have a go at doing that repair yourself seems easy enough and does appear to cover your fault code Discovery 3 se gone

Ok so if this is the fault and the compressor needs changing and I do it myself how would I go about updating the software for it?

So today I finally had a look at my suspension compressor. After removing the cover which was very easy I used leak detection fluid (for heating/gas work) to test for any leaks.
Now everywhere I sprayed was fine apart from the two tubes with orange and blue colour that enters the compressor. They both were bubbling up which indicate there is a leak and air is escaping from those two points. Now I have read before that it may appear to leak from there but is actually a crack which is leaking but this pretty much seems to be leaking from the two tubes that enter the compressor.
I tried removing and refitting but couldn't get them out and even tried pushing them in further with no difference. Can this be the cause of my fault/s and what would the fix be?
Code states pressure increase too slow, can the leak cause this issue?

That's the dryer end cap which tends to crack (hairline) between the two air connections. If it is cracked then you are likely to be getting the code 'air pressure rising too slowly' or something similar. New caps can be found on eBay by Landyair. If it's cracked (likely) the compressor will work overtime to fill reservoir.

Although I suspect a crack in the dryer end cap, I don't think it's related to your fault code. Looks like two problems.

Thanks for the feedback.
I will give the dryer cap a look into see if I can find one online or even try the epoxy resin fix as I read online. If you suspect another fault any idea what else it could be? Would changing the silica gel help?Discovery 3 HSE 2007

I only have experience with the dryer cap which gives the code about pressure rising too slowly.
Your other code C1A13 - Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery, I'm pretty sure with be caused by another fault....Exhaust valve maybe but hopefully someone who knows will be along soon. I'm certain that I've seen your fault discussed on hear before.
I'd stick a new dryer cap on first and see if your lucky enough to cure both and yes the dryer cap can be changed without removal.

I appreciate the reply and yes I'd like to try the dryer cap. Let's see if someone knows if something else is wrong too so that I can do both the fixes at the same time of possible.
I'll be replacing the desiccant and cap/cover kit.
Could someone give me a heads up on how to remove the dryer without removing the whole compressor and if there is anything I need to know/any tips.
I'll do a step by step with photos and post it up on here if it helps.
Also after a lot of online research some people have mentioned the vent pipe being blocked but no info found on how to unblock. Is this possible/correct and how can it. E cleaned?

Ok so my package arrives today. Here are the parts and it even comes with fitting instructions

Hope this solves the issue. Will give step by step photos of what I do in case it isn't on here already and if it works then hopefully help someone in the future.
