Sorry that you have plans which are being disrupted by a lack of parts.
The Dealer or LRA should take one from a car in stock. This is what they had to do for my broken tailgate lock as none were in the country. It still took 4 weeks for the dealer to get the lock replaced from LRA and 6 weeks for the trim to come for my vehicle but that didn't stop me from using the D3. Onviously they take the cheapest option for freighting spares and show little concern
Go back and keep banging the counter until the Service Centre take one from their D3s in stock to get your D3 fixed (even if it is temporary).
There is no other option. No point in talking and complaining any further you need to see action.

To bring you all up to date on my happenings.
Received a reply letter from Landrover Australia on 26 April stating that the replacement compressors had arrived on 19th April and that they apologised for any inconvenience. In way of recompense they provided a free service.
As it takes at least two weeks notice to book the vehicle in for service/repair (Bloody discraceful) etc I anticipated the arrival of the compressor and booked the vehicle in for repair before we travelled up to Qld in my wife's car.
On our return finally had the compressor replaced on 3 May and did another quick trip up to Queensland towing a caravan one way - total 2400 kms.
I am very pleased to say that the suspension has worked perfectly.
Fingers etc now remain firmly crossed for no repeat performances

Suspension fault
Retiredbob,
I'm retired Mike, and tow a caravan, with the same problem, I'm just getting my Updated compressor fitted and having the computer re-programed. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed as well, and hope it cures the problem,
might catch you on the road one day Safe travels

Still fingers crossed.
Have just completed a trip to Back of Bourke and Beyond (over 3,500 kms towing our off-road van on all types of surfaces and terrain. The vehicle performed brilliantly. Looks like the suspension problem may be sorted out.
Herewith a pic of the rig

For the whole trip I averaged 15.4l/100k. Not too bad for towing approx 3000 kg

I've been on the latest compressor for about 14,000km now and no probs.
Just had the 36K service and mentioned that the 'Low Coolant Warning' was coming on every now and then.
They replaced the sensor and now it comes on all the time!!!! Time to look up the part numbers again and tell them speciffically which part to put in.Have a nice day!

2005 HSE D3 (Sold)
Did they replace the whole expansion tank? They did no mine.
As soon as I started the D3 at the Dealer the "Low coolant level" came on.
I called the Service Team Leader across and he took it back to the workshop and after 10 mins I was on my way. The plug from the loom into the sensor wasn't connected correctly and the pins got bent. Not very good mechanics huh?
No problems since.
Check the plug firsts but that will require you to unbolt the foot of the expansion tank and then lift the tank up to get to the wires. You will need to slide the power steering pump tank off as well.

hopefully the latest comprehensive upgrade posted on the GTR site will fix al of those issues...when i told my service guy about it he looked it up and said that the compressor issue was one of the things that it addresses along with a heap of sofware upgrades.Disco 4 Sept 09
