Suspension at Different Heights? |
|
Away in France at the moment. Just before we left I had a bad puncture in the rear passenger and the tyre could not be fixed (nail in tyre, 4th in last year, another story ).
The remaining tyres were at about 5 1/2mm with the full size replacement Vredestein I have being 9mm.
I am not technical so bear with the next technical explanation of the issue. I just noticed today when loading the roof box back up to head home that the tyres at the back seemed to have bigger gaps between the tyre and the rim. I did some rough measuring and the tyres/suspension is definitely at different heights.
I looked in the 4 x 4 info screen and it is showing the rear passenger as being at a different height. Is the car clever enough to have changed the levels to cope with one tyre having 4mm more thread?
We have done 1,000 miles so far in getting here and there never felt like the car had any issues.
Will log in a little later to see if anyone has wise words

I certainly dont have any wise words, but when I've removed wheels and refitted them, the suspension's all over the place. So switching to off-road height, waiting for the car to fully go up front and rear, then selecting normal height and allowing it to go back down usually sorts it out for me.

Thanks. Did that once I saw the issue and there still seems to be a height difference. Nowt much I can do about it. Home tomorrow and 500+ miles to drive so not looking for big trouble thanks!
