Suspension dancing whilst changing brake pads
Chaps
I have changed the pads many times on my previous discos. Just started to swap the fronts on this one and as I'm starting to offer the spanner up the the suspension starts going up and down for the wheel I'm working on I've never had this before, I'm having a cuppa and letting the car go to sleep but has something changed on newer models? or was it just having a moment ?
Picture for perspective its jacked on solid concrete and has an axle stand wedged under there as well so not sure what it was trying to do.

Leaving a door open while you work on it should stop movement It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

is it just a door that stops it? I've always left the upper tailgate open as it was when this happened.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Door. Contra what it tells you in the manual, and tyre fitters tell you, the tailgate being open doesn't stop the suspension moving. I've been sat on the rear lower tailgate and the suspension starts moving.

The last time I got wheels changed on the D4, the tyre fitters had tailgate open, hazards on and in off road height, the car didn’t seem to adjust. The same was done with the D5.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Got the pads done over lunch it didn't get up to anymore antics, I think it just fancied a go at dancing
