Suspension for a change..

I have a 2006 HSE and all is well (mostly) apart from when I lower the suspension to access height it goes down but as it gets to the bottom it pops up suspension fault.. when you look at the 4x4 info picture the front n/s wheel has gone right up in the picture .. but it hasn't physically

I suspect the ride height sensor and have just bought a set off ebay (looks like some off a 2009 changed under the latest recall) Big Cry Big Cry but I didn't see that till I bought them..

Can you just change a ride height sensor.. or do you need to calibrate it and if so is that a dealer job?

From what I understand and have gleaned from the forum if any of the height sensors are changed then a calibration is required which involves storing values in the suspension ECU which can only be done if you have the right software (although I stand to be corrected by others more knowledgable!). Presumable this stores the values for each corner for each height setting. Shouldn't think that this would be a time consuming job but without the right tools.....

I have suspension issues at the moment which are looking like a compressor fault but also want a full calibration done. Once I've got the current faults fixed plan on sticking it into the local independant LR specialist to have this done along with an MOT/service.
