Surround Cameras on a D4 Commercial with touch screen nav

I ordered my D4 commercial back in March and I've been given a delivery date of the 20th September. Since then I've decided to add surround cameras but I've been told by the dealer that this option is not available on a commercial, is this correct? Club Exped trailer

It is only available from December build dates. I've ordered the rear camera and it's delaying the build until then. It's marked as this on the MY11 dealer information.

Not sure what the reasoning is behind this though

I cant help but think LR have dropped a b Censored k with this in regards to the excellent Tow Assist facility that is only available with the surround cameras which, I suppose anyone who has ordered a commercial will do more towing than most. Rolling Eyes Club Exped trailer

Personnaly i think the tow assist is just a gimmick !!

So in order to keep the costs down on the commercial I guess the wiring loom isnt there etc.

Do you really need it ?

its great to play about with and show your mates, but I'm not convinced its that practical in real life towing .. Duncan

Having been in Andy's(Buellbeast) car with it I think it would be pretty handy off road as a self spotting aid and also the video on YouTube with the D4 towing the 110 is very impressive. Club Exped trailer

The surround camera package also requires the folding mirrors option as well which means £995 ish for the camera plus 295 ish for the mirrors makes it very expensive for what you get

Any of the commercial specs over here are usually the bare bones basic model. Is your Comm a higher spec ? A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.
