Loved Morocco - it has just about everything to make a great off-road experience and if you go around this time of the year it will even have mud Twisted Evil

If you are thinking of France then (as said above) go that little bit further to the Pyrenees (Spanish side). You would have great views and terrain. Not excessively difficult in a lot of areas. If you are thinking of going it alone, then there are roadbooks available from this place (they are highly recommended) http://vibraction.pagesperso-orange.fr/espagne/espagne.htm Or there are a number of organised trips ranging from easy to difficult and a few days to two weeks.

Apparently Portugal is supposed to be a good area as well.

Would maybe avoid North Africa at the moment... Wink

(Lee - Amsterdam is very challenging...but I think she is looking for somewhere for her boyfriend to offroad, not offload... Whistle )

Try Alpine Rovers - they do offroad tours across the Alps from France into Italy. www.alpinerovers.com and are proper Land Rover fans Thumbs Up

I'd just like to say what a nice thing it is to buy your boyfriend. I'd love something like that, my other half bought me a PS3 game for my 45th Rolling Eyes

x2. I have really wanted to do this for ages. It looks awesome. Have a look at the link below. As far as I know if you wanted to take your D3 you have a to get a ferry from Denmark via the Faroe Islands. Would be epic though.

Another vote for Iceland. We did it in 2008 and had a fantastic trip. This was when the ferry was running from Scrabster.
We would certainly do it again, but cost and time rule it out for the moment.

Cheers.

If you interested in joining forces, my wife and I planning to go to the Pryenees over Easter.
