In my opinion - No!! (But I'm sure someone will disagree!) This D3 came with it already done - and had two other cars done with it - doesn't last much more than a couple of months - just the same result with Autoglym + resin hardener - and much cheaper I was taught to be cautious.

i think mine was a waste of money too - as soon as I got my bramble scratches I lifted it off trying to polish them out
And then gave up - all scratches now left until I get ridSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Got it and not sure it's made a difference
You're supposed to 'top it up' with a paint protection application every month after fully cleaning the car, which we had never managed..2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Got mine done free as part of the deal when I bought it. I have had it on a few cars and it does make it easier to wash (Its also makes it easier to remove dead flies off the bodywork) and dry but I would never pay full price for it. If you do purchase it you are given a kit which amongst other things contains a polish so that you can redo the supagard treatment on any bits you might have to polish due to scratches etc. There is also a bottle of shampoo to top up the supagard treatment which you are supposed to use every month - although I have only ever used it every other month and the car has still kept the factory fresh look.
The kit that you are given contains the following.
Sponge,
Polishing Cloth,
Polish
Shampoo
Tyre shine spray can
Plastic treatment spray can
Upholstery cleaner
All the above come in a smart zip up bag, managed to get them to give me two of these kits and also a Leather pack which contains a leather cleaner and polish - the leather cleaner works really well.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

Personally I think it is a bit of scotch mist, elbow grease and sky-hook baloney that costs far more than it is worth and produces results you could easily get with Auto Glym or some such other off-the-shelf good quality product.
It could even be in the league of magnetised fuel and hi-clone cyclone thingies that profess to provide extra power and performance from sorting out the air flow or giving fuel magicalproperties.
Don't waste your money!

I found that Autoglym Lifeshine bought from fleabay for about £10 works for me.Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Very interested to hear about that maintenance 'kit'. As I said - three cars done with Supaguard in the past - including this one - and never a mention of a kit. I'm sticking to Autoglym two or three times a year.I was taught to be cautious.

I can tell you that all these sealants the dealerships sell, Lifeshine,Diamondbrite, Jewelbrite all cost in the region of £20-£40 for the dealer. They then make their mark up.
If the application comes with any form of warranty, it will no doubt state that unless you use the 'top-up'pack regularly, then the warranty will be voided....so basically, you have to reapply the product after washing it in a wash from the same company.....
Surely, if you have to reapply the product to 'recharge'it then its the same as just keeping your car waxed...?
It is also only as good as the guy who has applied it. I have seen one Disco that had the plastic trim going a green colour due to not being masked off when the sealer was applied apparently. The owner was mot impressed.....
I prefer to save the money and buy some Collinite and do it myself.....IMHO much better finish.

I've had a few BMW/Alpina with supaguard and it makes them slightly easier to clean but offers no protection against chips/ bird crap etc . Alpina Classic wheels are particularly awkward to clean and supaguard makes NO difference. I've gone back to maguires
I think it is a rip off personally. Better off with zymol. Agree entirely with the comment about who applies it. There are plenty of showroom cars with swirls in the paint already.
Permaguard at docklands have a good reputation with a different product.
If you want to spend all that money better off looking into Paul at Miracle Detail and covering the car in Carnuba Wax.

I must admit that I've never really understood this Supaguard thing.....I know that dealers try and sell it as a 'protection system' to keep your car looking new for longer, but....
Why not just spend 50 quid on a decent polish and sealant (I don't think Supaguard includes wax) and just spend a few hours doing it yourself? In theory the paint is new anyway, so wouldn't need any type of cutting polish or decontamination....
Even a bottle of Autoglym SRP and a bottle of JetSeal should produce equivalent (or better) results for 40-50 pounds....
For the sake of a few hours work, you'd have it done properly, save around 400 quid and still have 80% of the product left over to last you for the next few years....
Maybe I'm missing something, but why would anyone pay so much money for someone to apply a bit of sealant to a new car??? 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Yes, why would anyone pay so much money for someone to apply a bit of sealant to a new car?
I did mine myself and it is a great job.
Superguard on e-bay £8.99 I am not sure how the dealers charge so much to have a car superguarded.
