Sunroof water issue and doors not opening |
|
Now I am just 24hrs into been the new owner of a 2006 Landrover Discovery 3, I have become aware of the massive issues of the leaky sunroof on these models. To my cost, i have soden footwells and the key fob which I know is working as I just had new one but its not connecting to the car.
I have seen the you tube videos with regard to repair of the issues but a bit beyond me. Anyone local to Shirley Solihull B90 can help me or point me to a specialist or garage who can help.
A bit naive.

The sunroof tubes are a very easy fix, just time consuming. There are a load of threads on here, most with photos to show you how to do it.
Your key issue is likely to be the '3 wire trick' - do a search and you will see that in the passenger cill that is covered with the plastic foot trim there are a whole load of wires in it that, 3 of them will need joining together as the water will have killed the original joint.
If you really don't want to do it, have a look for a local LR Indy who has done these jobs before. Reckon on a 4 hour + labour charge
Welcome to D3 ownership
