Sunroof Stopped Working
Just discovered today that my sunroof won't open (not really going to be a problem for a few months ).
There's no sound when the switch is pressed in either direction, the reset procedure does nothing.
I've checked the fuse (47) and it's fine.
The stored error code that won't clear is
Quote:
B1B56-87 (2F) Sliding roof module - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
( on 21-01-2018 16:37:54 at 145113 km )
*Test Failed
*Test Failed This Monitoring Cycle
*Confirmed
*Test Failed Since Last Clear
Any ideas of something simple I can check / fix or will it have to wait until it's next at the dealers?

Frozen?It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

My first thought too...but...
Just been out all afternoon, temp is just above freezing and the car has been warm inside. So I don't think so. And I would have thought that it would sound like it's trying to do something and not have a fault code if it was just frozen.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Fixed it.....
First day off with nice weather so I thought I'd have a fiddle with it.
Pulled the alarm sensors and 2nd row lights out of the head lining and could see the motor and control module. Couldn't see any problems but unplugged both of the connectors from the controller, had a look at them for signs of corrosion (they looked fine) and re-connected them. Now it works. 8) MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
