Suggestions for D3 improvements

What I miss on the D3 that I've had in all my Vauxhalls ..

Selective parking lights, depending on which way the indicator stalk is pointing when you switch off.

First time for everything... Flat batt on the D3. Rolling Eyes

Left it in dark lane outside my mates house with the side lights on, for about 60 mins. ( Only planned on dropping off some stuff , but forgot the time .. )

Got back in the car

click click click goes the starter motor

BuG*er

CBA'ed to call out LRA, will do in the morning.. you never know it might have healed up by then, as batt's sometimes do.

And the 15 min walk home was quite nice in the "breeze" !

Hope it dosen't get piled into, overnite !
..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

They should have sent a tow truck (local garage even) out to recover it for you surely ?

Thats bad service in my book and I would have words about your £30k plus machine sitting all alone in the dark and out of sight.

wish list

A factory/dealer installed "engine re-map option"

Why are zenon lights now an extra explaination ( as it just cost 600ish on my new one)

An auto close system for the tail-gate ( audi style) to save senior management getting dirty hands. She hates the "stupid little grip thing" on the inside.

Otherwise leave it alone as it now works Twisted Evil
Alive and kicking..who's round is it anyway ??

Previous car (not a V******) had an ability to use the heater / fan with the engine switched off using residual heat stored in the engine. Very handy when sitting waiting for someone / thing on a cold day.

And, as previously mentioned, ability to use sat nav as safety camera locator and a speed limiter.

Gadget I've got on Ren***t.

Speed Limiter......Set it to the speed you want, whilst on the move, and vehicle will not go above set speed unless you switch it off or floor the accelerator.

Fantastic gadget after many miles on fast roads and your sense of speed gets used to the higher speeds and the next thing you know your in a 40 zone and cruising along at 50ish which still seems slow.

No worries about police radar traps or speed cameras on normal roads or the camera monitored road works on motorways.

Give it to me Land Rover....I'll switch it on and use it even if others don't.

The ability to lower the air suspension from the remote control without having to climb in and start the engine or sit there with the hazard lights on.

The dog would not then have to wait in the cold and rain for me to get the vehicle down for her to jump in.

Great for car parks or when people are walking by and the D3 nods and bows to them remotely..... Laughing

You could call it 4X4 courtesy...The greenie's could then complain about the D3 but also add it is a very polite (not polute) vehicle......

What's wrong with the hooks in the back for the curry, as long as you've not got a curry eating dog in the back at the same time.

Can't eat the prawn crackers if all stashed in the back! One of the perks of picking up the take away! Very Happy

With prawn crackers in the back.....there will be less mess and crumbs in the front..

OR

put the prawn crackers in the cubby/cooler box.....but switch off the cooler box if you don't want them chilled.

That's for enjoying with the take away! Wouldn't want its delicate nature to be jostled in a car, even a D3! Besides if I run out of fuel........
