Hi Ian, I last did the safari about 8 years ago when I bought my first suzuki SJ, I had a great time as an introduction to off-roading, I then went onto to compete with raiders offroad.
I've just bought myself a nice D3 V8 so I've booked in for the 4th November run out and I'm looking forward to having a little play

Does anyone know where the last fuel station is on the way to kielder? I’m heading up the A68 stopping at falstoneD3 x2 now gone

She'll garage at Blaydon (A695, 2nd exit after Metro Ctr, 5 min off A1 is my usual al fill up (also one in Hexham), Tesco at Kingston Park (2nd exit after A69),& Sainsburys at Team Valley are the easiest to get to when passing.
Starts getting expensive when heading into the sticks, though there is a stn in Kielder Village if neededPaul.

I’d suggest popping into Hexham for fuel off the A69 before you head up to Falstone (I’d probably go
up via Chollerford from there too). There is a fuel station on the A68 but it can have strange opening times then after that it’s Kielder village for fuel (again can be hit and miss and is mega bucks!).
Enjoy, it truly is Gods country. I’m a born and bred Geordie (lived in Rutland last 5 years though), the roads up there are my old stomping ground on motorbikes. Fabulous scenery, roads and people!

Depending on what time you are arriving, there is a garage in Bellingham which is the last village you will drive through before Falstone. Where are you staying at Falstone, the Black Cock?Cheers Ian

I'll look forward to seeing you on Saturday Darren and you Ray If you are coming up the A68 once you have been up and down the roller coaster road (You'll see what I mean) you will come to a crossroads with a lot of wind turbines to your right, take the left hand turn towards Reedsmouth and Bellingham, this will probably cut the corner off from the way your sat nav will take you
It would help also if you mention to the proprietor of the Black Cock that you are doing the Kielder Safari, keeps the locals happy when they realise we are bringing revenue into then area Cheers Ian
