You’re not the first to be stuck on grass, and won’t be the last. It’s not called green glass for nothing, it is truly slick stuff. Thumbs Up

It’s when the car says it’s going to lower as it thinks it going too fast for off road height, but you’re just crawling, that’s when you know you’ve not got a lot of traction going on. Whistle

If you want to try a few things:

1) DSC OFF
2) TR in Grass/Gravel/Snow
3) Moderate throttle, gently tap the brake momentarily with left foot

On really slippy ground you'll get all 4 wheels turning at the same speed. The car sees all wheels turning and thinks it's moving fine. You tap the brake and one or two of the wheels will stop or slow enough that the car recognises the speed difference and starts applying traction control to individual wheels.

You can also try rock crawl as that is a bit sharper on locking up the wheels, but try G/G/S first.

Your vehicle is permanent 4WD. There is no 2WD option.

Rolling with laughter

I’d like to think that the locking rear diff on my L405 would have helped in such a situation.

You’re confusing me with those who bought new FFRR’s Del. I am very much a forelock-tugger. My used L405 cost less than my last new D4 Landmark. 0ver 50% depreciation after 2.5 years and 20,500 miles.

An itch that needed to be scratched. Smile

Had a few FFRRs in my mis-spent 20s, similarly none came with a butler. My fave was a VM powered diesel. Happy days. Thumbs Up

FFRR ownership in your twenties. 😳 Are you sure you didn’t have a valet? Smile
