Stripey Roof Bars

Big Cry Took the car in to dealer for them look at my roof bars ,as the bars have gone all stripey
Have tried all types of cleaners and the bars are still stripey.
The dealer said its not warranty but we have the same fault with an 2006 car on are forecourt.
Has any one got the same fault and had them changed under warranty.
I said to the dealer that i would ring the landrover help line . the reply i got was i could change then with the demonstrator thats OK but it has not over come the long time fault of stripey roof bars.

Mine have discoloured too. Thought I'd take them off and get a can of plasticote on the job if it got bad enough. Figure anything black is going to fade/discolour over time Confused
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Mine as well! They've gone all stangely coloured - quite disappointing really. Guess a bit of polish may help.

Not in my case, at least, not while in my driveway. Can't speak for dealer "courtesy scratching"

Ken, will you be at the SE meet on Tue and are you still able to supply AG stuff if I bring some 5l containers?
