Streaming Music from Iphone
Hi Y'all,
So today I have been delivered a lovely 2011 D4 HSE and Im still finding my way around the various parts of it, for the last 10 years I have had a D3 but there are quite a few changes between the two!
One of the things I am struggling to find out how to do is how to stream music off my iPhone, I have connected the Bluetooth so all calls etc are working but there doesnt seem an obvious way to stream the music, unless I connect it mannually to the iPhone plug in the central cubby box..........
Hope that makes sense if not please feel free to ask any questions

I didn't think that Bluetooth music streaming came in until MY12? There are workarounds using a Bluetooth converter and then using the Aux socket. D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
D4 MY13 HSE Lux - RLD/IID BT
P38 RR - Sad parting
110 - Even sadder parting
S3 88" - Still going strong after 23 years of ownership

The bovee works great, sometimes a bit hit and miss with track advance from the steering wheel though. I’ve never been able to work out why!

Its arrived and I have connected it, I was coming on here to question should I be able to move through the tracks from the steering wheel as that doesnt seem to be working but I guess your comment explains that.
Its a little frustrating as if it was just to be a bluetooth receiver I could of got a much cheaper one off eBay!!
Still, its here and it works which I suppose is the main thing

So, Just tried to show it to my more tech savey partner and for some reason the playlist keeps pausing..............?
So as soon as i press Play in Spotify it plays literally a second and then pauses - Has anyone else had this problem?
Also when I press on the screen in the car to play from Ipod device it comes up with "Error"?
Am I doing something wrong or do you think I have a dodgy wire/ unit?

Our's isnt here at the moment, but I'll check for you later.
It generally works faultlessly with Spotify, and sometimes track advance will work.
It can only be down to the sequence of starting the app before selecting the input on the dashboard or something, I've just never taken the time to work it out.

One thing that really bugs me, though, is that while the bluetooth is connected to the Bovee / Tune2Air thing, all the 'system' alerts from the phone are sent to bluetooth.
This is fine if you currently have that input selected, but if you're listening to the car radio rather than the input from bluetooth its easy to miss emails or texts etc as the phone doesn't make a sound.
I'm not sure if I'm making myself very clear there

Okay, so after some further research the Bovee 1000 is not compatible with Iphone 6s (Or indeed should it be compatible with the car according to the packaging)
Apparently it will work but be very hit and miss so I am returning mine and for the time being using a cable plugged in the AUX socket.
Back to the drawing board!!

I didn't bother with the BT streaming route, just bought a 30 pin to Lightning convertor from Apple (ouch price) and it works a treat via the curly lead, both for the SE and the ipad.

We use all manner of iphones with ours and can confirm 5/6/6s/7/7+ all work.
Sometimes the track advance works, sometimes it doesn't, but it so much easier than an aux cable that we put up with that and change track on the phone.
