Strange sound / feeling when cornering - but only one way |
|
Currently in Morocco on a very shaky and slow internet connection so I haven't done a search (sorry)
Started noticing yesterday and today, now we're back on Tarmac, that when I corner a sharpish corner at reasonable speed the passenger side front wheel makes a bit of a funny noise and feels a bit odd - maybe as if the abs or something else clever is kicking in? I'll double check my tyre pressures again in the morning as it almost feels as if the rim is rocking over the edge of the tyre wall (if that's even possible?) but both tyres look at the same pressure and were put at that pressure a few days ago. Wheel bearings (well hubs) discs and pads are all brand new prior to leaving on the trip a few weeks ago.
It's only really a problem on the twisty mountain roads when cornering fairly quickly (not like hold on for dear life fast, just a good speed to keep the roads moving) So, not too concerned for the drive back to the UK, just thought i'd see if anyone can advise really
Thanks

Tyre pressures uneven tyre wear, worn wheel bearings bad alignment all can cause this.
